You probably shouldn't be alone right now.

The bad day hadn't been invented yet, so it was a very good day. He'd named some animals, tended the Garden, and even had a visit from the Creator.

"You know," the Creator had said, "I don't like that you're alone."

"But I'm not alone," he replied. "I have all the animals, and I have you, when you're not busy."

"True," said the Creator. "But I was thinking more along the lines of someone your own species."

So that night, the Creator swiped one of his ribs, and made a woman.

And with that, the bad days had been invented.
