The glass was half full. I was sure of that, because I half filled it.

The half full, half empty, too big conundrum flashed through my mind as I realized, I would never keep this job.

I was too nervous to function, and I was going to get fired on my very first shift.

In front of me sat half a cocktail, poured for the prettiest thing I’d ever laid eyes on. And, I was frozen - speechless.

She leaned in over the whiskey, batted her eyes and smiled; I leaned in over her and drooled. “Just add water” she purred.
