I was sitting in the car heading away from the flat I just sold, pleased to get rid of the damn thing because of its bad memories and vibes.
Some said the place was cursed or haunted by some malevolent spirit. Others said that I was that malevonent force there.
I left as much as I could so as to not bring along any bad juju to my new life.
It then struck me that I had forgot to leave one thing behind.
I turned the car round and went back. Time to start the trip again...purged of my angst.

“Emily!” My maid rushed up to me. “Miss Emily! You forgot something!”
“What do you want? Can’t you see that I’m trying to leave for my date?” This was an important date, too. One that I had actually wanted to go on. After all the suitors passed by the queen, we had agreed.
“Miss Emily, I am so sorry, but you forgot one very important thing!” I sighed noisely as she prattled on.
“Bronwyn, you are dismissed. Go do whatever it is that you do after hours.” I turned on my heel and stalked away. Whatever it was could wait. My date wouldn’t.
