Your day so far: facial, brazilian, and pedicure at the spa, strawberries and oysters and champagne for lunch, chauffeured car to take you around town. Since you are not Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman", why is this happening?

Ted: No Loose Ends
Eloise had been having one of her best days in the last two years. The spa treatment had been a luxury too long denied. Lunch at Phillipe's was near divine.
But the best was yet to come. The sun was wending its way rapidly down towards the sea as she stood at the the edge of Promontory Rock.
She left the letter for her son, grown now with kids of his own, with the limo driver as she sent him on his way. She didn't require the car any more that day.
Here is where she would cure her cancer.

David: Did Someone Lose A Bet?
The Versace saleswoman looked down her nose at the burly man entering the store. He was tall and barrel-shaped, if the bottom ring of the barrel had given way. Wearing a red and black plaid shirt and blue jeans, he walked carefully, as if each step caused him pain.
She approached him, and noticed he was clean-shaven, with a healthy glow to his face that mismatched the sour expression he wore.
“May I help you, sir?” she asked. He mumbled a response.
“I beg your pardon?” she asked, leaning closer.
The man moaned miserably, “I, um,… want to look pretty.”
