Like dad like kid: or Apples Don’t Roll:

“Dad, can I borrow five bucks?”

“When will you pay it back?”

“Okay …can I have five dollars?”

He feels his own father’s disapproving stare upon him, as he hands his son, not five dollars, but twenty.

“Later, dad!”

“Why do you do that, boy? Why, he’ll never learn to earn his way!”

“I know pops but what can I do? I can’t tell him no.”

“Well… I suppose your right. You tell him no, and he’ll just come to askin me, and, I won’t tell him no – no how. I’m grandpa, I’ve earned the rite – hell, I raised you.”
