Between the Bells:

Circling clockwise, with the taste of blood on her tongue and sweat stinging her eyes, she switched to a south paw stance to confuse him.

As if anticipating her, he switched immediately as well, and let go a fast stinging jab to her forehead, and another. “Love you honey” he slurred past his mouth piece.

“Love you too” she spat through clenched teeth, as she ducked and pounded two fists to his mid section. She knew he wasn’t as hard-bellied as he once was. Not the lover he once was either, but he understood her. And, that’s what matters, right?
