It was black as night when I picked it up. Its a dull colour that looked impenatrable to all light. The round rock was in a nice box in a velvet bed.

I read the note attached. "Was shopping in a Devon antique store and I found this. I thought you would like it. " Signed. "a friend."

When I picked it up the thing rather reminded me of a rather large black eye. A rather a odd crystal ball.

Over the next few weeks I learned many things from my obsidian. Many things I was probably not meant to see.
