Do you hear that beeping sound?

The high pitched beeping sound finally penetrated my deep concentration. It penetrated the sound of the keyboard clicking.

The screech from the alarm I had set up under was triggered. I expected company and want to be properly prepared when they arrived.

I knew they would come for me after what I had been writing but it had to be said.

The screech was getting louder and louder...but I no longer heard it, concentrating on the intense smell of the sea prevading from below me.

Then there was the cruching as they broke through wood below...I carresed my Elder Sign.
