A couple stands there, watching the sunrise from the front door of their house. The sky is ablaze with shades of red and orange as another day draws to a close. They draw close, embracing each other in the beauty of the moment.
From within the house, one can hear the sound of hurried footsteps and someone talking to himself. A few minutes later, a young boy of no more than eight years old comes through the door. He holds a battered baseball cap.
He tugs at his father's sleeve. "Come on, Dad, we'll be late if we don't hurry!"

I've been sitting on this couch for twenty minutes. Why is it that they're never ready on the first date?
Making nice with the father of somebody I hardly know isn't my idea of a great time either. And this one clearly hates my guts.
No problem, I'm thinking, just as soon as that chick gets down here, I'll be out of here!
I see movement at the top of the stairs. "Hi Daddy," she says. Then she looks at me. "Who the heck are you?"
Oh great! All of that waiting and I didn't even get the right house!
