Ted: Prelude to Rebirth
As hard as she tried to run, fate kept bringing her back to this place.
Thanks, Fate. You cunt.
Her lover, the one her father had warned her about, asked her if she was ready make her commitment or was she going to run again like last time.
She thought she was over her fear.
He demanded that she bring an image of her father so that he could purge her of her old life.
Her belly quivered in anticipation.
Twice she had left him, third time's the charm.
She felt betrayed by the pain. Didn't know this would hurt.

The stars are amazing tonight. In all their purity, their fire burns away all the petty human grievances we took out to them when we left the bottom of the sky. A pity it took me a lifetime to see it.
So many people, fighting and killing over . . . what? Green uniforms versus red? That’s all it seems to come down to now.
And here I am, suited up, having hit the ejector seat, trading a fast death for a slow one. In a moment, I’ll take off my helmet and take one last deep breath.

Two things spike..first off, only 95 words. Second, you should post under the main page, not the individual authors.
Having said that, good job with your attempt. Feel free to submit again.
