The speech writer was trying to keep his patience, but clearly this was going to be another long session.
"Mr. President, that's not a word."
"Are you sure? Check your dictionary."
"I assure you, it's not. I don't even know what that's supposed to mean sir."
"Prevaricate! It means verify beforehand. We need to make sure the prevarification of our intelligence is accurate. We're starting to look bad."
"Sir, the important point is that we need to make sure we hold to our strategery."
The speech writer stopped and put his head in his hands... did I just say that?

Dictionary and Dinosaurs
“Hop into bed, kiddo.”
“Can you get me a glass of water?”
“Sure.”
“Can you tell me a story, Dad? Maybe something with princessess and dinosaurs.”
“I think you mean dragons, honey.”
“No, I was thinking pterodactyls or maybe an archaeopteryx.”
“Uh-huh, I see...”
“So why did you lie to mom and tell her you liked her tofu-loaf?”
“Well, I was trying not to hurt her feelings. It wasn’t really a lie.”
“Oh, so it wasn’t really a lie but a prevarication?”
“Prevarication? Yet another reason why I don’t think your reading the dictionary before bed is a great idea...”
