It was a moment that took fate by surprise.

Samantha stood behind the counter of her café, serving customers but dreaming of more. Being a single mum was difficult; never enough money and male companions who fled after one night of sex.

Kyle was a lawyer who walked in looking for a hit of caffeine and a slice of pie.
