Lori sat squarely on the ground. “Oh god, I’m tired. Are we done walking?”

Pattie leaned over the cliff, “Yeah, we’re done walking.”

“Good. I’m going to take a short nap.”

“We should probably camp out here anyway.”

Lori sprawled out on the ground and rested her head on her discarded backpack. She watched her friend rummage through her own backpack. “What are you looking for?”

“The camera, I thought it was in here.”

“What do you need that for?”

“No one is going to believe we made it if I don’t take pictures of the end of the world.”
