Tanya: Am I acting as if there's something wrong?
Much better. Now all I need is a good night's sleep and I'll get out of this one horse town. Forty thousand dollars will buy a lot of horses. Or a new life. With Sam. Well, thirty-nine thousand three hundred now. Hmm, now what did I do with the shampoo? I must have left it in my bag.
Was that the door? What wonderful timing. It must be the old innkeeper woman; surely she wouldn't send that odd son of hers. I can ask her to bring me my shampoo. Oh, but she mustn't look on the dresser. She mustn't...

I didn't catch the reference at all, and I'm a fellow graduate from that particular institution.

Seki didn't get it either. I shouldn't have tried to write it in (freaked out and totally paranoid) character.

Oh heck..I got it. I've taken extension courses from that school.
I don't think anyone but me knows the book I referenced in the daliwali theme.

It clicked into place for me with reference to
old woman innkeeper with odd son, plus looking forward to the shower.
One of my faves of creepy movies.

I've never read Dali's book, but I know of it. I was a fan of his when I was younger, but he seems totally overexposed to me now.
Damn, minus two for a true film classic. I suck. I wonder if Lair will let me re-post his Michael Jackson entry...
