We're writing well, making some real progress on stories, ergo want a little more flexible format than 100 Words. So from now on you can find some of us over at Daily Writer. Same principle: one prompt a day, but write however many words you want.
The Singer
Mike struck up a tune on his fiddle. Suu had heard it on the ship coming to Scotland, and had asked what it was called. The fiddler had told her that it was 'Greensleeves', a popular English tune, and had even taught her the last verse and the chorus, so she sang it now.
'Greensleeves was my heart of joy
'Greensleeves was all my delight
'Greensleeves was my heart of gold,
'And who but my Lady Greensleeves'.
When she finished, Suu realized people were clapping heartily. She flushed in embarrassment, but joy flooded her heart. She knew she belonged.
